John Kim, DMG Founder and CEO and the DMG team members joined education leaders from across southeastern Pennsylvania at the Suburban Schools Study Council 2025 Conference, held April 2–4, 2025, in Cambridge (MA), to explore the most pressing challenges facing K-12 public schools today. The council was hosted by Chester County Intermediate Unit (PA).
The Suburban Schools Study Council is a regionally based professional learning network of active and retired superintendents that has been meeting for over 40 years. Through shared learning, site visits, and collaborative leadership discussions, the Council supports district leaders in strengthening their impact and deepening cross-district collaboration.
During the conference, John Kim, Lisa Salvucci, DMG’s Director of Partnerships and Client Development, and Simone Carpenter, Consulting Director, engaged in a dynamic dialogue on the current state of public education. Together with participants, they delved into the most urgent issues impacting public schools today, identified emerging trends shaping the educational landscape, and discussed the leadership strategies necessary to navigate the path ahead.
“We were honored to be part of such a thoughtful and future-focused conversation,” said Kim. “It’s clear that superintendents are facing unprecedented complexity—but also extraordinary opportunities to lead change that benefits students, staff, and communities.”
